We’ve got plenty of our Swansea student accommodation with bills included. This means that the cost of water, gas and electricity will be included in your rent up to a pre agreed annual budget. We will take care of the every aspect of the bills allowing you to focus on what really matters.

If you find a house you want that hasn’t got bills included simply talk to a member of staff and we can add the bills into your rental payments up to an annually agreed budget to suit you!

Bond Deposit

What is it?

A bond deposit is a security deposit a tenant pays at the start of a tenancy. It is paid into a government approved scheme, provided no money is owed to the property owner/manager at the end of the tenancy the money is paid back to the tenant. A bond can be used to pay for outstanding rent, damages or other costs.

How much is it?

The bond deposit is typically one month’s rent plus 100.00

Agency Fees

What are they?

It is common practice for Swansea student letting agencies to charge tenants a fee during the setting up of a new tenancy agreement.  An agency fees or admin fee are costs charged to new tenants to cover the agencies time to carry out completion of all legal documents in relation to your new rental property. These fees for us, Swansea 4 Students cover:

Our agency fees are only £75.00 per tenant (We are not VAT registered)

Parking Permits

We understand that finding non-marked parking spaces for student accommodation in Swansea can be difficult task especially in if your student house is in a densely populated student area such as the Brynmill, Uplands, Mount Pleasant or the City Centre.

But it’s not all doom and gloom! The City and County of Swansea allocate two parking permits per property in Swansea. So if your student pad in Swansea has 5 tenants you’ll only have the ability to get your hands on 2 parking permits allowing you to park in resident only parking bays.

How do I get a parking permit?

Tenants living in student properties in Swansea will need to contact their landlord/agent to get the council tax account number for your property. You will then need to complete the online resident permit registration form at:

Student Recycling & Rubbish

If you’re living off student campus in Swansea whether in a flat or a shared house there are recycling and rubbish collections in place by the Council to help you dispose waste from your student home.

What do the Council collect?

The Council will collect paper, cardboard, plastics, cans and glass from the kerbside of your student pad in Swansea.

Green bag collection - You can use green bags for cans, glass, paper, and card.
These are free and can be source from the Council.
The Council will collect them on your green week.

Garden waste collection – You can use reusable white bags for garden waste. These can be purchased through the Council.
The Council will collect it on your green week.

Pink Collection - You can use pink bags for mixed plastics.
These are free and can be source from the Council.
The Council will collect them on your pink week.

Black Bag Collection – You can use black bags for non-recyclable waste.
These can be purchase from any grocery store.
Your allowed to put out a maximum of 3 black bags every fortnight.
The Council will collect 3 bags only on your pink week.

Food waste collection – You can use your green bin & bags for food waste.
These are free and can be source from the Council.
The Council will collect your food waste every week.

When does the Council collect from my house?

If your student house in Swansea is in Brynmill, Uplands, Mount Pleasant or Sandfields your collection day is on Wednesday.

You will need to place your recycling and rubbish out for collection either after 7.00pm the evening before or before 7.00am on the day of collection.

How can I get a recycling kit?
