What is a bond deposit?

A:A bond deposit is a security deposit a tenant pays at the start of a tenancy. It is paid into a government approved scheme, provided no money is owed to the property owner/manager at the end of the tenancy the money is paid back to the tenant. A bond can be used to pay for outstanding rent, damages or other costs.

How much are parking permits and how can I get one?

A:Parking permits are free. Tenants will need to contact their landlord/agent to get the council tax account number. You will then need to complete the online resident permit registration form at https://secure.mipermit.com/swansea/Register/ProductRegister.aspx?PermitType=RESIDENT

What are agency fees and how much do Swansea 4 Students charge?

A:Agency fees or admin fees are costs charged to new tenants to cover the agencies time to carry out completion of all legal documents in relation to your new rental property. These fees for us, Swansea 4 Students cover: preparation of the AST agreement; guarantor forms; bond deposit protection & information; check in inventories/ check out inventories.
